Obsidian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2007: 90 points, Wine Enthusiast" A beautiful Cabernet that shows the promise of this Lake County appellation."
Kazmer & Blaise Chardonnay 2006: 95 points, Wine Spectator "Deliciously complex, rich and layered, with a mix of fig, apricot,
spice and smoky, toasty oak, all fanning out to subtle nuances and ending with a wonderful finish."
Molnar Family Pinot Noir 2007: 91 points, Wine Enthusiast "...lush, appealing flavors of cherries, raspberries, cedar, cola, vanilla and spices. With a silky texture, it should develop through 2013."

Michael B. Terrien, Founding Winemaker
After his stints in philosophy and fishing (see Kazmer & Blaise history for more on this), Michael decided that winemaking was on the path to an even more romantic life. After getting his Masters in Enology from the University of California, Davis, Michael joined Acacia Winery where he honed his cool-climate Carneros winemaking skills and rose to winemaker and general manager. His Acacia Pinot Noir was rated among the top 100 wines in the world by Wine Spectator. Currently, in addition to his role at Tricycle Wine Co., Michael consults for Hanzell Vineyards, as well as a handful of other wineries. He lives with his wife Hannah (who doubles as our designer; if you like her work, click here) and their son and two daughters. Since they have so many children under the age of five, they have no pets.
