Obsidian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2007: 90 points, Wine Enthusiast" A beautiful Cabernet that shows the promise of this Lake County appellation."
Kazmer & Blaise Chardonnay 2006: 95 points, Wine Spectator "Deliciously complex, rich and layered, with a mix of fig, apricot,
spice and smoky, toasty oak, all fanning out to subtle nuances and ending with a wonderful finish."
Molnar Family Pinot Noir 2007: 91 points, Wine Enthusiast "...lush, appealing flavors of cherries, raspberries, cedar, cola, vanilla and spices. With a silky texture, it should develop through 2013."

History — Our wine adventure started back in the late 1960’s when Nicholas Molnar “discovered” Napa Valley. The wines of Napa reminded him of his homeland of Hungary (from which he had just managed to escape Communist rule in 1956), he decided that “this was the place” and began buying land and developing vineyards throughout Napa Valley.
In 1973, he developed Poseidon’s Vineyard, in the Carneros
Then the Molnar sons came along, and as they “know everything better” (this is a direct quote), they partnered up with Michael Terrien to make some small batches of choice wines from land that they had tended for the past generation.
Molnar Family wine was born to make cool-climate single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the very southern end of Napa Valley. We also set out to re-invent the style a bit – we wanted the taste of fruit without the candy and oakey finish of many California Chardonnays. We emphasize balance and structure to “make you change the way you think about Chardonnay”.
This is not your father’s Chardonnay. (Nor is it your father’s Pinot Noir – it’s yours.)
